WordPress 3.9 for IOS Now Available

WordPress 3.9 for iOS has been released. The update include some major changes like:

  • Sidebar navigation has been removed.
  • Tab bar based layout.

and a lot of visual changes to the app.

Some fixes include:

  • Fixed a bug issue where user had problems logging into a password protected site.
  • Fixed a bug related to scrolling and selecting in the post editor.
  • Fixed a crash occuring when reblogging a post in the reader.


Another great feature added to the update is the seamless inline commenting.. This makes replying to comments feel lie messaging.

WordPress Core Development Repo Official Git Mirror Now Available

WordPress has just announced official git mirrors for WordPress . These are read-only mirrors for WordPress core development SVN repository. Git mirrors are also available for bbPress, BuddyPress,GloPress and the core.svn build repository.


The contribution process is not as direct but there is a tutorial on how to contribute to WordPress using GitHub. In the future, WordPress will also be making git mirrors for WordPress plugins and themes.

For the next week, it will be in beta so expect a few bugs. This new git mirror opens up to an even greater improvement especially in the enhancements and fixes of WordPress.
